The Elsinores are from Lexington, KY and play a heartfelt mix of power pop and
doo wop, glazing over the boundaries between punk and rock and roll the way that only three best friends stuck together in a basement in the suburban wastelands can.
"No Love Lost," their second tape, finds the band expanding on their interpretation of bare-bones garage pop while maintaining the fervent, sincere style of songwriting that really sets them apart. It's hard to make comparisons with a band that takes such a fundamental approach to their music, but you're liable to hear strains of

and love on this 10-minute cassette EP!

We dubbed 100 copies of this tape for the Elsinores Summer Tour this past year, and lo and behold, 30 copies managed to find their way back to Kentucky! So we're making them available here and now. Each tape is hand-labeled and comes packaged in a norelco case with vellum j-card and lyrics sheet.

After a few years in Kraut-mode with releases coming at a steady clip, a tour or two and - I can only guess - hundreds of jams, the chemistry in the playing is palpable. DAWN OF WOLVES closed the split out with three dire tunes that were nearly flawless while incorporating melody, speed and technical execution. hey creeps, its been a while! in the past few months since the release of THE MEN single, i've moved even deeper into the mountains, been raising a big garden, and still managed to take the distro out to some sick shows! bands like NUKLEAR BLAST SUNTAN, LOTUS FUCKER & WHITE GUILT have all ripped kentucky up in recent memory! yes, these exclamation points are completely called for! i'm excited!

the next release from KARMIC SWAMP is at the pressing plant right now and should be available in a matter of weeks. VELOZ (ex-FURNACE; GENDERS) are a new hardcore band out of boston that have made a name for themselves very quickly following two intense U.S. tours just earlier this year. this, their first record, is a hardcore eruption of metallic d-beat frenzy, blazing riffs and unadulterated furor.

here these guys pound out six songs in under eight minutes, in what amounts to the sound of a regime overthrow crammed onto a seven inch. this EP will clobber you. VELOZ have definitely broken their own ground here musically, but if you're trying to pin them down i would say they occupy some frenetic space between the guts of DROPDEAD and the brains of BARONESS, and what an occupation it is!

this record is limited to 500 copies, and features screenprinted inserts, vellum lyric sheets, and gorgeous full-color covers courtesy of BRANKO VRANIC.

in case you were unaware, VELOZ ARE ON TOUR RIGHT NOW! and if you're lucky enough to live in any of these towns they're playing, go and see them, scratch your head a couple times and pick this record up in person! the road is tough on bands; it pisses girlfriends off and eats transmissions whole, and so these guys could definitely handle seeing some friendly faces.

KS03 : THE MEN "CAPTAIN AHAB B/W WASTED" [SOLD OUT!]

we are very proud to bring to you today the newest onslaught from brooklyn's most inciting punk band THE MEN. for KS03 we took these two really gnarly instrumentals from the "immaculada" sessions that sound kind of like sonic youth took too much dramamine before they hit the beach and had them pro-printed on cobalt tape, slid the mix into spray-painted soft poly cases and now we're throwing them at the world...like burger wrappers from a moving car but way better for everybody.

in all there are 125 of these tapes. 75 of them went with the men on tour last week, and the last 40 or so i've got are available here and now. they're all hand painted, hand cut, and hand numbered, and now they're being hand SOLD OUT!

so with all the distro updates i figured i could let people know what's up...

KS03, the latest release from brooklyn's THE MEN, is available now on this site.

KS01, the full length album from kentucky dopesmokers ALEGIONNAIRE is being repressed on cassette and will be available this summer from the band at shows or online here. more info on that soon.

cassettes from YOG SOTHOTH and HIGHGATE will be here later this year, and you'd better believe there are some tapes up my sleeve to be announced later on.
