The b-side drops the speed to 33RPM for two creepy-sounding dirges that get back to the Die Kreuzen-esque weirdness of their earlier records. 	KORO - 700 club 7" "Koro's 700 Club may well be the single best hardcore EP of all time; if you ask me only Negative Approach's self-titled EP and Minor Threat's first two 7"s come close. More than likely you've heard the bootlegs, but if you've haven't, imagine the tightest, meanest and fastest band on the planet bashing out eight lightning-quick, sub-60-second rippers. Band comparisons don't do this record justice, so I won't list any. This reissue features a brand new mastering job from the original source tapes (the record may well sound better than the original) and artwork meticulously recreated from the original release, making it far superior to any of the bootlegs that have floated around." 	JOVONTAES - don't vex CS "Don't Vex is tape number three from Lexington, Kentucky's Jovontaes. It strikes the middle-ground between the sludgefest of Masks of the Land and the cleaner, spacier Thief of Baghdad on DNT, and ultimately feels like the group has found their Zone. After a few years in Kraut-mode with releases coming at a steady clip, a tour or two and - I can only guess - hundreds of jams, the chemistry in the playing is palpable. They sound at ease on Don't Vex, finding a Can-like buoyancy for their mid-tempo pieces on side A and unleashing some previously unheard proto-punk energy on the flip. 	TOMBSTALKER / DAWN OF WOLVES - split CD from MRR: "Prepare to be blown away by the evvviil!... The CD starts with four songs from Kentucky's TOMBSTALKER who play D-beat-influenced metal that could be an extreme extension of punk. Bands like FROM ASHES RISE, WOLFPACK/BRIGADE, and AT THE GATES would give one an understanding of their approach... DAWN OF WOLVES closed the split out with three dire tunes that were nearly flawless while incorporating melody, speed and technical execution. Strong showing, although at one point during a listen I convinced myself that all three songs were in fact LUDICRA tunes. Their similarities are uncanny but awesome. (RM)(Pragmatic)"	$8.00
