So it's been awhile! There has been a lot going on in the realm outside of the Internet,
a space I'm coming to appreciate more and more... The Globsters tour was phenomenal; Adam and I shared in the rock and roll misery with punks all across the eastern U.S., got to see old friends and slang some records - what more could you ask for?
The Globsters - Rock and Roll Misery EP is out now, along with The Elsinores -
You're the One EP, two very different and very tasty rock and roll records I can't recommend enough! You can also find all manner of new and freshly restocked
savory jams in new DISTRO update - ragers like the VIDEO and B-LINES LPs and new stuff I picked up out on the road, including the SHOPPERS/PANZRAM split 7", WHITE GUILT 7", MERCILESS GAME 8", SEA OF SHIT 7", CROSS 2XCS and tons more! So check em out!
So much stuff in the works - I'm really excited about this summer! In the near future, expect the new ANCIENT SKY 7", CROSS / ARCANE RIFLES split 7", and a repress of BELOW - St. Anthony's Fire on cassette (just in time for their April weekend with TOMBSTALKER!) I'll have to leave it there for now, but expect more big news soon!
If you're in Kentucky, come out to a SHOW and scope the distro out; get in on some goodies that might not make it to the internet! Wherever you're at, support local music, support DIY! And check out the Globsters interview in the March 2012 issue of
Maximum Rock N Roll (#346)! I might be biased because I was involved, but I have to
say, its essential KY punk reading!!! We'll be seein you!

KS14 : THE ELSINORES - YOU'RE THE ONE 7" E.P.
[AVAILABLE NOW!]
Hailing from the Appalachian-Midwest border town of Lexington, Kentucky,
THE ELSINORES are a new group that have been spreading their homemade variety of power pop/garage punk jams across the South for the past couple of years, releasing and touring on a couple of killer demo tapes that were really a breath of fresh air from the harsh nihilism that has pervaded punk's recent output.
You're the One is the band's first appearance on record, and they really stand out on these new recordings, exploring the concurrence between early punk and rock and roll with a relentless sense of melody in what amount to some really good songs! If the abrasive rock and roll of the Voidoids mixed with the tenacity of Pink Flag-era Wire and the glow of the Beach Boys sounds like your sort of savory jam, then get yourself
a spoonful of the Elsinores!
Tracklist:
1. You're the One
2. Losing
3. Thinking of You
4. Shadowplay
This record is limited to 300 copies on black vinyl and features artwork from the band, including hand-stamped labels and a lyrics sheet. Available for $7.00 postage paid in the United States, payable via well-concealed cash, money order, or paypal to karmicswamp@gmail.com. Email all questions, trade, wholesale, international orders, or otherwise to this address. You can also add this record to any order from the DISTRO for only $4.00! KS13 : GLOBSTERS - ROCK AND ROLL MISERY 7" E.P.
[AVAILABLE NOW!]
GLOBSTERS is the sound of one punk from Hazard, Kentucky hitting the writhing, mutant masses head-on with his own manic vision of rock and roll. This record is like the nightmare that stays stuck in your head long after you've woken up - you may say
"I Am Not Afraid of Freddy Krueger," but Globsters is a different story!
From the raw punk blasts of "I Don't Wanna Be Mentally Ill" to the demented crooning on "Roll You Up and Smoke You," this record proves that seven inches of punk can still be wild, unexplored territory. So kick back with your favorite Japanese wrestling bootleg, play this record loud, and enjoy the "Rock and Roll Misery!"
*WARNING : GLOBSTERS - Rock and Roll Misery E.P. rates a 1.0 on the Muta scale.*

KS08 : THE MEN - THINK 7" [AVAILABLE NOW!]

The raging single from The Men is back in print! This record contains an alternate recording of the song "Think" from The Men - Leave Home LP on Sacred Bones Records, backed with a really smokin' cover. In fact their only 7" record to date, "Think" was originally pressed in a run of only 300 copies that quickly evaporated last year, and so we cooked up a second batch! This pressing is 300 copies on black vinyl, with two-color screened covers, reversed from the first press and printed by Rich Samis.
Tracklist:
1. Think
2. Gates of Steel

Here's a review from the latest Got Myself zine:
THE MEN "Think" 45 (Karmic Swamp)
When a boy becomes frustrated he either writes a gimpy love song or turns the distortion up past ten and screams his guts out. The primal response would be to do the latter, but there isn't enough of that mongoloid attitude in music these days. THE MEN certainly take this route and produce a noisy mess with "Think", a composition that trudges along, sounding as though it was recorded on a jam box inside of a shower, the audible result of a hot morning steam. Think about today's bullshit and curse the faucet. I'd say THE MEN succeed at this single in a way like SEX/VID did with "Tania". "Think" flips over into an unexpected DEVO cover ("Gates of Steel"). A pop song given the total shit treatment
- I dig. Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are THE MEN.
